The London Stock Exchange and the City of London jointly commissioned Oxera Consulting to research the cost of capital incurred by issuers.
The study covers equity & debt on the world's largest stock exchanges: the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market & AIM, Euronext, Deutsche Börse, NYSE and NASDAQ, which together represent 58% of total world market capitalisation.
The study shows that the cost of capital at both IPO stage and beyond is lower in London than in other major financial centres included in the study, and highlights the additional value offered by London's corporate governance standards, which are rated the best in the world.
