Who are AIM Advisers?
AIM is supported by a wide community of expert advisers, ranging from Nominated Advisers (Nomads) and brokers to accountants, lawyers and PR/IR firms.
Nomads are integral to the market and a unique concept to AIM, so we will now go on to describe their role in more detail.
Why are Nomads so important to AIM?
The importance of Nomads to AIM and its companies should not be underestimated. It is fair to say that the outstanding success of this market since its launch in 1995 is largely due to the dedication and professionalism of these advisers. Each company applying to AIM must appoint a Nomad to guide it through the admission process and its subsequent life as a publicly-quoted company.
The London Stock Exchange sets strict criteria for becoming an AIM Nomad, in order to safeguard the integrity of the market, and to ensure that existing and prospective AIM companies have ready access to the high-quality advice they deserve.
There are approximately 70 nominated advisers at present. Search our list of Nomads.
How do I become a Nomad?
In order to become a Nomad, you will first need to meet the criteria set by the Exchange and complete the application forms for Nomad registration. Your application will then be reviewed by the Exchange's AIM Regulation team, who will keep you informed of its progress.
